DEAR, BOB HOPE My name is Jim Glazier, from 4308 42 AVE. #20 Rock MTN.. House Alberta, Canada . And I need the help of someone with great influence over people and the resources to convince people they can protect there property. I am not trying to get a hand out, but perhaps some kind of business venture where we both can make money. I have been interested in vehicle security since 1997. I get sick when I hear of peoples property stolen , damaged , and even lives lost from such a preventable problem as car theft. I have looked at many vehicle security devices and there weakness, and endeavored to build a device that is easy to install and also user friendly, and very difficult to remove. I have built prototypes, and have used one on my vehicle for three years even in big cities, and always felt comfortable that my car would always be there where I parked it. I also installed one on an old truck in an auto wreaker and it took three big men 4min. 56 seconds to remove it, only by braking the floorboard because of too ridged a base. This has since been redesigned to be flexible. It was encouraging to see one person could not remove it. It is loose enough installed, that it cannot be cut with a hacksaw, since it is made with good strong steel. The lock cannot be frozen because it is incased with steel and a small air space. These men ! tried with hammers and feet to remove it and only exhausted themselves. Since joy rides and theft of vehicles for the purpose of committing a crime are the main reasons for general auto theft, I know this will be a very good and secure type of vehicle theft deterrent. I have a U.S. patent and applied for an international patent with the help of a company in Ireland, who have done up for me a confidential research report, on North America, and Europe and are at this time trying to find manufactures all around the world that would be interested in building this device that I call "Brake Lock. There is some simple electronics that serve as a trade mark, as well as takes care of the brake light problem. I recently have had interest from England and Illinois and hope to get a positive response from them. Auto theft is a huge problem everywhere. I know it will make a difference. But it will only make a difference if people will use it. If I could give you more information that might convince you, perhaps you may be interested in being a part of this venture. .P lease, if you want more information or have questions please get in touch with me at my E-Mail address ( cadillacjim @msn.com) Thank you, I look forward to hearing from you . Dear Bob: I hope that you will feel better soon. You have dedicated your life to so many. I have the greatest respect for you. Not many people would give of themselves the way you did. I think that I have watched every USO show that was broadcast on TV. It was nice to see the happiness on all of those faces. You made them laugh and smile. You are a true hero, a person with a really big heart. I will always respect you.

January 28, 2000

My name is Debra. My mother was diagnosed with Breast Cancer six years ago. The impact that diagnosis has had on me was rather profound. I found myself suddenly thrown into the world of cancer and was faced with the possibility of loosing my mother. My mothers condition not only affected me but also everyone whose life she touched. It prompted me to begin thinking of many things I’d never considered before. I became aware of what a devastating disease Breast Cancer is and how it overwhelms you with a sense of vulnerability. As much as anything else, I was frustrated by my inability to do much to help my mother despite my strong desire to do so.

Ever since my mothers diagnosis, I’ve been searching for a way to make a difference and do something to help in the fight against Breast Cancer. I intended to try to do something to help raise money for research and something that would allow the families of those persons struck with Breast Cancer to contribute as well.

Since I started considering doing this project with my mother in mind, I just tried to think of her most defining characteristic or trait. She’s known for her southern style cooking. I’ve never met anyone who didn’t think her pecan pie or fried chicken was the best they’ve ever tasted. It just seemed logical to pursue a cookbook idea incorporating my mother’s southern cooking recipes. After talking with many family members and other survivors of Breast Cancer I’ve developed a different twist to the original cookbook idea. Rather than having the cookbook consist solely of my mother’s recipes, I thought why not get favorite recipes submitted by people whose lives have been touched in some way by Breast Cancer. This could include daughters, sons, husbands, grandchidren, uncles aunts, friends, neighbors or just about anyone. Those contributors could submit a recipie for possible inclusion in the cookbook along with a dedication for the individual who has, had, or died from Breast Cancer. This way the contributors could help by assisting in compiling some great recipies that would go into a cookbook where a portion of the proceeds are to be donated for Breast Cancer Research and the contributors of recipies could show their love and support for their family member or friend who is either battling Breast Cancer or who has survived Breast Cancer or they can memorialize those who have been lost to the disease.

Obviously all recipies submitted can’t be included in the first cookbook. For those that are not included, there will be a section in the book which will contain the dedications sent in with the recipies that weren’t selected, or they will be added to the next edition. I thought one of the best places to contact such people would be the internet. If you would like to participate, please send me an e-mail. I will then describe the format. My email address is: demer10@aol.com Sincerely,

Debra
